��`�,• 11L Try y Y"N <br /> � o <br /> wv <br /> Race Equality Week <br /> September 26-30, 2005 <br /> Whereas: The City of Roseville is committed to promoting racial equality and <br /> justice as a fundamental aspect of a healthy community; and <br /> Whereas: The Roseville Human Rights Commission urges local individuals and <br /> businesses to join together to promote racial equality and justice; and <br /> Whereas: The City declares racism unjust and advocates equal rights for all; and <br /> Whereas: On July 2, 1964 by an Act of Congress of the United States, the Civil <br /> Rights Act of 1964 banning discrimination because of a person's color, race,national <br /> origin, religion or sex was adopted; and <br /> Whereas: By an Act of Congress of the United States dated July 9, 1868, the 14th <br /> Amendment of the Constitution of the United States giving all persons born or <br /> naturalized in the United States the right to due process and equal protection under the <br /> law; and <br /> Whereas: The City of Roseville invites everyone to renew their commitment <br /> ensuring racial equality and justice for all beginning on September 26, 2005. <br /> Now,Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City of Roseville hereby declare the week of <br /> September 26, 2005, as Race Equality Week in the City of Roseville and urge all citizens <br /> to join together to support this effort. <br /> In the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, U.S.A <br /> In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of <br /> Roseville to be affixed this 26th day of September 2005. <br /> Mayor Craig D.
