i:Ix1NQ.i <br />Functions <br />The Health Department is comprised of a Health <br />Ofiicer and Environmental Health Consultant, Weed inspecting <br />is handled by the Code Enforcement Officers in Public Works< <br />The Health Officer has a wide latitude of authority <br />including defining health nuisances, advising the Council on <br />all public health matters, and supervising immunization clinics. <br />The Environmental Health Consultant carries on an <br />educat°xonal and enforcement program in such areas as food handling <br />and preparation, rodent control, dumping of trash and refuse, and <br />maintenance of private and public sewage and water systems. <br />101 <br />
