FTREMEN'S RELIEF ASSOCIATION <br />Functions <br />The Firemen"s Relief Assocaation is an organization of <br />the Volunteer Fire Department which provides pension and disability <br />benefits to the members of the Pire Department, It is an organ9 <br />ization established under State Law and supported by a percentage <br />of the fire insurance premiums paid by the City residents and by <br />general property taxes, Each year the Association rnforms the Council <br />of the amount required from the general tax Ievy and the Council is <br />obligated to provide it� <br />53 <br />
