Gerieral Prorty Tax
As previously ntioned estimated revenue from this source is up
8.8°s.
Intergovernmental Revenue
This revenue source is expected to increase 22.4%. It is made up
primarily of Ircal Aids, Revenue Sharing, Lauderdale fees for services,
and State Dutch E1m Aids, Increases in Local Aids ($153,000), Revenue
Sharing ($68,000) and Lauderdale £ees ($14,000) make up the increase.
Ipcal Aids. Due to the new allocation formula adopted by the 1979
legislature, Roseville is no longer frozen at the 1976 level. However,
because the formula depends on a city's t base, Roseville's increase
was minor. Zhe majority of the increase was due to the fact that
Minneapolis will not be receiving local aid this year and their portion
was distributed to other cities.
Revenue Sharing. The airount received by the City this year is approxi-
tntely the saire as last year. Zhe increase in this item is because a
portion of last year's allocation was not included in the 1979 budget
and was desirJnated for Ice Arena improvements. Items designated for
this year i*:clude wateprocfi;,g the Old City Hali ioutidauon ($5,u0Gj,
purchase of lights and sirens for police vehicles ($6,500}, pase of
recording equiprent ($6,900) and a pucger ($35,000) in the Fire Depart-
ment, purchase of a grader ($95,000) in the Street ipartttnt, and pur-
chase of 25 voting machines ($39,000) in Elections.
Lauderdale. Fees received from Lauderdale include, for the first tire
this year, an amount for participation in Roseville's Parks and
Recreation programs.
Licenses and Permits
Both of these ite are up due to expected increases in activity.
Charc-es for Services
This item is down due to the closing of the City's liquor stores.
Special Assessments
This revenue category is projected to be down based upon Rarsey County
estimates of special assessment installments due in 1980.
Transfers
Tne decrease in this categozy results from the tengorary hold on
proceeding with th e Sanitasy Sewer Inflow and Infiltration study.
