With regard to the limitation, this year's computation of it differs
from previous years. Since 1971, the limitation has been calculated
as an increment over the previous year's limitation. For 19II2, the
limitation is simply an increment over last year's actual levy. Thus,
the margin that it has been possible to build since 1971 has been lost
in 1982.
Revenue
Following is a summary of revenues included in the 1952 budaet:
Source
Property Tax
Intergovernmental
Licenses and Permits
Court Fines
Charges for Services
Special Assessments
Transfers
iotal
1981
Adopted
$3,095,843
1,409,245
229,410
35,000
3,357,336
577,084
684,395
19II2
Proposed
3,460,645
1,393,075
257,900
40,000
3,916,170
547,595
883,638
$9,388,3i3 $10,499,023
Amount
Increase
(Decrease)
$ 364,802
(16,170)
28,490
5,000
558,834
(29,4Q9)
199,243
$1,1i0,i10
Percent
Increase
Decrease
11.78%
(1.15%)
12.42%
14.29%
16.65%
(5.11%)
29.11%
i1.&3%
There are three areas of note in the above chart.
