Four divisions make up the <br />department: Engineering, Street, Utilities, and Code Enforcement. The <br />Director also serves as City Enqineer. <br />The Engineering Department is responsible for a11 activities relating to the <br />design, construction, maintenance, inspection and operation of the physical <br />facilities of the City. Engineering activities include the preparation of <br />plans the the supervision and review of the construction of water, street, <br />sewer and other physical improvements in the City. In those instances wliere <br />these services are provided by a consulting engineering firm, the work is <br />under the supervision and direction of the Public Works Director. <br />-44- <br />
