Routine <br />maintenance is also performed on other public sites used for <br />recreational activities such as school sites, golf course, Ice Arena, <br />and VFW field. The work includes repairing play equipment, grass <br />mowing, turf maintenance, vandalism repair, court and athletic field <br />maintenance, installation of play equipment, benches, tables, hard <br />surface trail maintenance, construction of trails, spraying, and <br />support to all recreation programs. <br />This division employs a Park Superintendent, five park keepers, and <br />in the summer months part-time maintenance employees. <br />Special facilities which are maintained include: <br />- 48 ba11 fields (City, school, <br />- 20 lighted tennis courts <br />- Amphitheatre (Bandshell) <br />- 6 sand volleyball courts <br />- 8 bocce ball courts (2 lighted <br />- 16 horseshoe courts (2 liqhted <br />- senior walking course <br />- fishina dock <br />and private) <br />- Vi11a Park) <br />- Villa Park) <br />- 6 picnic shelters in Central Park <br />- 9 park shelter buildings <br />- 100 + picnic tables <br />- 8 outdoor skating rinks <br />38 <br />� <br />
