Objective: <br />To successfully implement the City's redevelopment and devel- <br />opment policies. <br />Activity <br />A. Continue efforts to develop the 36 and 35W targeted area <br />corridor. <br />B. Identify new target areas for future development. <br />C. Design effective assistance packages for expa�ding new <br />businesses. Implement new and innovative approaches <br />where appropriate. <br />D. Modify and manage the City's tax increment financing <br />districts to ensure they conform to regulations, they <br />are financially feasible, and they are used to encourage <br />development. <br />E. Coordinate activities of developers, City staff, and <br />public agencies to facilitate the successful implementa- <br />tion of development projects. This includes compliance <br />review of existing Development Agreements. <br />2. Objective <br />To coordinate City planning funetion. <br />Expenditure Comments: <br />A. Personal Services is up due to the addition of a full-time <br />Planning and Zoning Administrator, and a full-time Secretary <br />to support the Economic Development, Zoning, and Public <br />Information activities. <br />B. Miscellaneous Services and Charges has increased to reflect <br />the actual costs of legal services, and special studies <br />related to the Tax Increment Financing Districts. <br />36 <br />
