Depreciation <br />charges are transferred to this fund from departments using such <br />equipment. These charges are used only for the replacement of <br />equipment as approved by the Council. <br />The overall objective of this program is to allow for orderly <br />replacement of equipment, and to substantially reduce the <br />fluctuating property tax requirements for equipment purchases. <br />Expenditure Comments: <br />1. Equipment Purchases have increased by $253,760, or 240 per- <br />cent. The 1989 equipment purchases include: <br />A. Fire <br />Purchase a pumper/tanker to replace an 149,000 <br />existing tanker and an existinq pumper.
