To identify patterns of criminal activity and develop <br />preventive techniques, decreasing the opportunity to successfully <br />commit crime. <br />�p��y�- ACTIVITY: <br />1. This unit, presently comprised of one sergeant, two investi- <br />gators, and one juvenile offic , investigate crime with <br />assistance of patrol personn and outside agencies. They <br />collect and preserve evide e during the course of investi- <br />gating, and maintain the roper chain of evidence. <br />2. The Records Unit, <br />Office Clerks, pr <br />Officers. The Crim Prevention Officer works to develop contacts with <br />citize s and business people in an effort to reduce crime <br />oppo unities and the effect of crime on the community. The increase in Personal Services reflects the addition of a <br />Juvenile Officer position to enable the initiation of a <br />School Liaison Program. <br />12 <br />
