To maintain positive code enforcement control of adverse <br />conditions on both public and private property that affect <br />the health, safety, and welfare of the general public. <br />2. Ensure proper code enforcement of all state and city code <br />requirements to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of <br />the public. Control of the design, construction, materials, <br />use and occupancy, and maintenance of all buildinqs shall <br />accomplish this objective. <br />Activity: <br />1. All code complaints shall be handled in an expedient, consis- <br />tent and fair manner. <br />2. Al1 required licenses, occupancy permits, etc., shall be <br />properly issued, and all reco=ds maintained for easy <br />reference. <br />3. Al1 permits, plan reviews, and inspections shall be carried <br />out in an efficient, consistent, and timely manner as per <br />Code Department procedures. <br />Subprogram: Fire Prevention <br />Objective: <br />1.
