N0. <br />10-18 <br />1991 <br />ADOPTED <br />5,870 <br />2,710 <br />8,580 <br />OBJECTIVE: <br />To protect and assist Roseville citizens during and after dis- <br />asters, and to maintain continuity of the Ro�eville City govern- <br />ment. <br />ACTIVITY: <br />1. Roseville's Civil Defense operations are directed by the <br />City Manager, with day to day coordination done by the <br />Deputy Chief of Police. Civil Defense is responsible for <br />mitigating, preparing for, responding to, and recovering <br />from natural and manmade disasters. A comprehensive <br />emergency plan has been developed, and is regularly updated <br />to keep abreast of County, State and Federal guidelines and <br />regulations. Thirteen outdoor warning sirens are maintained <br />by the unit. <br />2. The Roseville Reserve Police is a unit of the Civil Defense <br />Operations. The Reserves are responsible for park patrol, <br />assisting at special events, and assisting during emergencies <br />and disascers. <br />>. The City outdoor warning sirens were convertec' to radio <br />control activation in 1487. This increased the reliability <br />ar.d versatility of the alarm system. <br />Expenditure Comments: <br />No significant change. <br />17 <br />
