To maintain poeitive code enforcement control of adverse <br />conditions on both public and private property that affect <br />the health, safety, and welfare of the general public. <br />2. Ensure proper code enforcement of all state and city code <br />requiremente to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of <br />the public. Control of the design, construction, materials, <br />use and occupancy, and maintenance of all buildinga shall <br />accomplish this objective. <br />Activity: <br />1. All code complaints ahall be handled in an expedient, consis- <br />tent and fair manner. <br />2. All required licenses, occupancy permits, etc., shall be <br />' properly issued, and all recorda maintained for easy <br />' reference. <br />3. All permits, plan reviewa, and inspections ehall be carried <br />out in an efficient, consistent, and timely manner as per <br />' Code Department procedures. <br />' 4.
