<br />The General Fund accounts for a11 fi.nancial transactions not nroperly accounted
<br />for in any othzr fund. Revenues (including operating transters) of the General
<br />Fund totaled $3,347,810, a decrease o=�$57,347 from 1979. A1so expenditures
<br />(including operating transfers) for the General "rund tc�.aied $3,7.56,447.; an
<br />increase of $314,858 over the nrevious year. The fund balance increased by
<br />$91,368 and was $1,374,437 at the end of the year.
<br />'Lhis fund balance is available to provide working capital for the fund until tax
<br />set�lements are received in Ju1y and December of each year, to provide funds for
<br />unkrown events which could have an adverse effect on the fund, and te help finance
<br />future budgets. The $32,487 designated for subsequent years' expenditures is for
<br />police purposes.
