SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FUND <br />The Special Assessment Fund is used to account for the <br />construction and financing of public improvements which are <br />to be paid for fully or in part from special assessments <br />levied against the bene£ited property. The fact that special <br />assessment improvements are paid for completely or in part by <br />property owners in a limited geographical area which is <br />specially benefited, distinguishes them from improvements <br />which benefit the entire City and are paid for out of general <br />revenues or through the issuance of general obligation bonds. <br />
