Ci11�I1 <br />The General Fund was established to account for the revenue and <br />expenditures to carry out basic governmental activities of the <br />City such as general government, public safety and public works. <br />Revenue is recorded by source; such as property taxes, licenses <br />and permits, fines and forfeits, charges for service and state- <br />shared taxes. General Fund expenditures are made primarily for <br />current day-to-day operations and are recorded by functional <br />classifications and by operating departments. This fund accounts <br />for all financial transactions not properly accounted for in <br />another fund. <br />
