Mr. Johnson stated that a lot of people always get there early, and it can create a <br />backup. <br />Chair Cihacek stated that he felt it would be beneficial to continue investing in the <br />event if it continues s to grow <br />Member Wozniak asked if the contractor was notified of the parking lot changes <br />prior to the event. <br />Mr. Johnson replied yes and commented that it is the busy time of year for Nitty, <br />the contractor. <br />Member Misra asked if this event was only held once a year and asked if hosting <br />more than one per year would be beneficial. <br />Mr. Johnson stated that prior to his arrival the event was done twice a year and <br />stated that they could look at doing one in the spring and one in the fall. <br />Mr. Johnson summarized the outcome of shredding day. He stated that he feels that <br />people are more thankful for shredding day. <br />Member Wozniak stated that this type of event is much better for actually recycling <br />shredded paper because it does better in bulk. <br />Mr. Johnson wrapped up the MS4 annual report by detailing tips for residents. <br />7. Items for Next Meeting —June 26, 2017 <br />Discussion ensued regarding the June PWETC agenda: <br />• Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) Study Update <br />• Joint meeting with the City Council in July <br />Chair Cihacek recommended that the council make a utility recommendation to <br />send a memo to the finance department prior to finance coming to talk with the <br />commission in September. <br />Member Wozniak suggested that the council look at organics collection in a future <br />meeting <br />Chair Cihacek suggested that they set up a joint meeting with parks <br />Member Trainor voiced his opinion that the Lake Bennett discussion felt like more <br />of a watershed issue and he was not sure why the public hearing was held before <br />their commission. <br />Mr. Johnson explained that the hearing was a joint effort between the city and the <br />watershed due to the City receiving a number of complaints from residents. <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />
