To:Parks and Recreation Commission <br />From:Lonnie Brokke <br />Date:July 1, 2018 <br />Re:Notes forCommission Meeting on ThursdayJuly12, 2018 <br />1.Introductions <br />2.Public Comment Invited <br />3.Park Dedication –Midland Crest (2237 West Cleveland Dr.) <br />Includedin your packet is a proposal for a fivehome subdivision at 2237 Cleveland <br />Avenue Dr.The entire proposal includes fivelotson 2.11 acres.Three lotsalready <br />exist with two new lotsbeing created on the Southeast side (in green).The two <br />parcels to the northwest already exist, but they’re being incorporated in the plat so <br />that the rear portions of all fivelots can be used for the required storm water <br />management. <br />The project qualifies for Park Dedication. The cash amount for the two additional <br />units would be approximately $8,000($4,000 per additional lot).The land amount <br />would be 10% of 2.11acres or .21acre. <br />Several strategies to improve the Park, Recreation and Open Space opportunities in <br />Southwest Roseville were recognized and outlined in the ParksandRecreation <br />System Master Plan. <br />Included in your packet is thesubdivisionapplication materials,a constellation map, <br />the Park Dedication Ordinanceand informationfrom the MasterPlan on Parkand <br />Open Space acquisitionandSouthwest Roseville strategies. <br />The primary role of the Commission is to review and make a recommendation on <br />whether to accept land, cash or a combination. <br />Requested Commission Action: To discuss and make a recommendation to <br />accept land, cash or a combination to satisfy the ParkDedication requirements. <br />4.Ongoing Topics <br />a.Update on Cleveland Avenue and Marion Street Park Sites and <br />Names <br />Final construction plans are complete for both parks with work expected to <br />begin inAugust.Given this timeframe, it would be good to have a name <br />suggestion to the City Council sometime in September. <br />In your packet is the most recent list of name suggestionsand the naming <br />policy regarding assigning names to city facilities. <br /> <br />
