Commissioner <br />18Warzechaseconds. Motion passed unanimously. <br />19 <br />204)APPROVAL OF MINUTES – July 12, 2018 MEETING <br />21Commissioner Hoag moved to approve the July 12, 2018 meeting minutes.Commissioner <br />22Warzecha seconds. Motion passed unanimously. <br />23 <br />245)PRESENTATION OF MRPA AWARD OF EXCELLENCE <br />25Staff introduced Michelle Snider, Executive Director from the Minnesota Recreation and <br />26Park Association (MRPA). Snider provided background on the MRPA and the Awards <br />27Committee which oversees professional awards for individuals and the Award of Excellence <br />28program which recognizes projects. The Cedarholm Community Building was nominated for <br />29an Award of Excellence under the “Parks and Facilities” category. Snider noted the creativity <br />30in rebuilding an aging clubhouse into a multipurpose community building for all citizens of <br />31Roseville. In addition, she recognized the Commission,staff and community for their <br />32excellent work on the project. The Award of Excellence was presented to Chair O’Brien. <br />33 <br />346)ONGOING TOPICS <br />35a)Cleveland Avenue and MarionStreetPark Site Update and Naming Discussion <br />36This item was moved up in the meeting agenda due to residents being present for this <br />37topic. <br />38 <br />39Staff provided an update on the two new parks at 2134 Cleveland Avenue and 1716 <br />40Marion Streetalong with an overview of the Naming Policy.
