817)DISCUSSION OF 2018 COMMUNITY SURVEY RESULTS <br />82Staff provided a brief background on the community survey results, highlighting a few <br />83significant Parks and Recreation scores,including: <br />8495% of respondents rate the Parks and Recreation facilities as either excellent or <br />85good <br />8641% of households reported that they participate in a city sponsored activity or <br />87program <br />8847% of respondents report that they use the trail system at least once per week <br />8989% are aware that the City opened the new Park Buildings <br />9054% have visited or used one of the new Park Buildings <br />9199% of the people who visited or used the Park Buildings would rate their experience <br />92as excellent or good <br />93 <br />94Commissioner Hoag inquired if the 11% of those whoreported using the athleticfacilities <br />95was in line with previous usage, or is it trending down due to the age of the Roseville <br />96population. Staff recalled it was similar. <br />97 <br />98Commissioner Gelbach questioned if the perception of higher crime is something that should <br />99be considered with the Parks. Staff confirmed that the Police Department will be providing <br />100crime statistics to the City Council at an upcoming meeting. <br />101 <br />102The commission discussed the occasional vandalism in/at the parks and buildings and <br />103wondered if that was an issue. It was reiterated to always call 911 if there are any concerns. <br />104 <br />1058)FOLLOW-UP TOJOINT MEETING WITH THE CITY COUNCIL <br />106The Commission discussed the outcome of the joint meeting with the City Council. Overall, <br />107the Commission felt well received. <br />108 <br />109Chair O’Brien inquired aboutthe next time that the Commission would have a joint meeting <br />110with the City Council.
