I Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission <br /> 2 Meeting Minutes <br /> 3 DRAFT —AUGUST 15, 2018 -DRAFT <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Commissioners Present: Cat Beltmann, John Eichenlaub, Chelsea Holub, Monica Bolinger, <br /> 7 Lauren Peterson, Elizabeth Hansel, James Ryerson, and Etienne <br /> 8 Djevi <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Youth Commissioners: Acer Iverson <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Commissioners Absent: Michelle Manke (excused), and Subbaya Subramanian (excused) <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Staff Present: Rebecca Olson, Assistant City Manager <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Call to Order/Roll Call <br /> 17 <br /> 18 The Human Rights, Inclusion, and Engagement Commission (HRIEC) meeting was called to <br /> 19 order at 6:31 p.m. Ms. Olson indicated Commissioner Subramanian was excused and was his <br /> 20 last meeting on the Commission. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Approve Agenda <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Commissioner Peterson moved and Commissioner Holub seconded a motion to approve the <br /> 25 Agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Public Comment on Items Not on Agenda <br /> 28 None <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Approve Minutes <br /> 31 <br /> 32 a. July 18, 2018 Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Commissioner Peterson stated on line 265 the word"minutes" is spelled wrong. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Commissioner Holub moved and Commissioner Peterson seconded a motion to approve the July <br /> 37 18, 2018 Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission meeting minutes as amended. <br /> 38 Motion passed unanimously. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Receive Reports <br /> 41 Party in the Park Recommendations <br /> 42 Assistant City Manager Olson reported after the Commission participated in Party in the Park <br /> 43 this past July, there were some ideas and thoughts from Commission Members on things that <br /> 44 could be done to help engage the community. She noted Commissioner Holub put together some <br /> 45 ideas. <br /> 46 <br />
