P' Try Americans with Disabilities July 26, 20 Whereas: For the past 25 years, the Americans with Disabilities Act has focused on ending discrimination against individuals with disabilities and promote full integration and participation in society; and Whereas: Approximately 20 percent of Americans have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, a number projected to increase as our society ages; and Whereas: As a direct passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, an increased number of children and adults with disabilities are living,playing, working and shopping alongside their neighbors; and Whereas: Roseville is becoming inclusive and free of physical, communication and social barriers; and Whereas: State and local government services are continually improving and providing increasingly accessible services and programs to Minnesotans with disabilities; and Whereas: State and local governments, including Roseville, are beginning to understand the importance and reverence of providing accessible digital information and electronic services to Minnesotans with disabilities; and Whereas: On the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, we celebrate and recognize the progress that has been made, we acknowledge challenges still exist on our horizon, and we reaffirm our commitment to full equity and inclusion for all. Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council hereby declares July 26, 20 as the Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, in the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, U.S.A In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Roseville to be affixed this day of , 20 .
