P' Try <br /> Americans with Disabilities <br /> July 26, 20 <br /> Whereas: For the past 25 years, the Americans with Disabilities Act has focused on ending <br /> discrimination against individuals with disabilities and promote full integration and participation <br /> in society; and <br /> Whereas: Approximately 20 percent of Americans have a disability as defined by the <br /> Americans with Disabilities Act, a number projected to increase as our society ages; and <br /> Whereas: As a direct passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, an increased number <br /> of children and adults with disabilities are living,playing, working and shopping alongside their <br /> neighbors; and <br /> Whereas: Roseville is becoming inclusive and free of physical, communication and social <br /> barriers; and <br /> Whereas: State and local government services are continually improving and providing <br /> increasingly accessible services and programs to Minnesotans with disabilities; and <br /> Whereas: State and local governments, including Roseville, are beginning to understand the <br /> importance and reverence of providing accessible digital information and electronic services to <br /> Minnesotans with disabilities; and <br /> Whereas: On the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, we celebrate and <br /> recognize the progress that has been made, we acknowledge challenges still exist on our horizon, <br /> and we reaffirm our commitment to full equity and inclusion for all. <br /> Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council hereby declares July 26, 20 as the <br /> Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, in the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, <br /> State of Minnesota, U.S.A <br /> In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Roseville <br /> to be affixed this day of , 20 . <br /> Mayor Daniel J.
