Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: November 27, 2018 <br />Item Description: Complete Streets Policy <br />Background: <br />Item No: 5 <br />One of the Best Practices to help achieve the next step for the Green Steps Cities program is to <br />adopt a complete streets policy. This policy is intended to help guide new construction and <br />reconstruction of City streets to make them more usable to all modes of transportation including <br />walking and biking. <br />A complete streets policy was presented to the commission at the October 23 meeting. Based on <br />the commission's comments, language regarding environmental corridors and wildlife movement <br />as well as project impacts to existing trees and landscaping was added. A project evaluation <br />checklist was also created and included in the appendix of the document. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Receive Complete Streets Policy and provide recommendation on adopting the policy. <br />Attachments: <br />A.
