Commissioner <br />15 Bole seconded. Motion passed unanimously. <br />16 <br />17 4) GUIDANT JOHN ROSE MINNESOTA OVAL CONDITION ASSESSMENT <br />18 REVIEW <br />19 Commissioner Stoner asked for confirmation that the initial engineer responsible for the <br />20 OVAL design was the person who conducted the assessment for Stantec. Staff confirmed. <br />21 <br />22 Staff introduced the history of improvements at the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL <br />23 (OVAL) since opening in 1993 (25 years ago). Due to the regional and beyond nature of the <br />24 OVAL, the capital costs have been a joint effort between the State of Minnesota, general <br />25 contributions and the OVAL user groups. The city has been responsible for the annual <br />26 operating costs. <br />27 <br />28 The city commissioned Stantec to complete the Condition Assessment Report in order to <br />29 help better understand the needs, cost estimates and priorities for the mechanical components <br />30 and infrastructure of the OVAL. <br />31 <br />32 Staff provided a photo tour from the OVAL Condition Assessment Report. <br />33 <br />34 <br />35 <br />36 <br />37 <br />38 <br />39 <br />40 <br />4 <br /> <br />
