President l'!ueller presided. <br /> <br />Fire Chief K.Fab;yanske and 1st Ass't Chief H.JJynch submitted a letter <br />requesting that 2 paid men be hired full time for the sufficient operation <br />of the Fire Dept. They also indicated that sabotage to the fire apparatus <br />was taking place.After considerable discussion,it was agreed to meet with <br />the Town Board of Rose to òiscuss with them the recommendations made by the <br />chief and ass't chief. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ur Oscar Gottfried asked for a postponement BK£~hKzÈeBzxiBn of the rezoning <br />of his property.He indicated that he was working on the possibility to <br />face the proposed building on Larpenteur Ave instead of Hamline as it>'appeared <br />that all property ovmers on Hamline Ave are opposed to the rezoning with <br />building facing Ham1iD~ Ave.H~Th~crsten moved,Pothen seconded to l~ over the <br />rezoning matter until August 3rd,1948.Roll Call:~res-(5),Nays-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk reported that the bids submitted for the grading of Ryan Ave and <br />Shryer Ave seemed to be in order.IAueller moved, Carlson seconded to submit <br />the bids to the County EngineerE office for a further check up and when the <br />contracts are let, to ask the County Engineers to supervise the work of grading <br />the two streets. Mueller moved, Carlson seconded that contracts be awarded <br />to M.S.Mergens,the lowest responsible bidder subject to the approval of the <br />·Co.Engineers that the bids conform to the specifications and authorize the <br />Village attorney to draw up contracts.
