Attachment C Regular City Council Meeting Monday, September 18, 2017 Page 20 Mayor Roe noted that current code language prohibited keeping of non-domestic animals in Roseville, with the exception of bees and poultry. Mayor Roe stated that he was unaware of any problems to -date, and asked his colleagues if they considered the current city code framework for regulating the keeping or poultry or bees (e.g. structures, setbacks, etc.) to be adequate. Councilmember McGehee opined that the current language was fine, and stated that she was not aware of any complaints, and since things appear to be going well to -date, it should be left alone. As previously stated, Councilmember Willmus stated that he had no interest in getting into that discussion again, since it appeared to be working well as it. Councilmember Laliberte agreed that given the past considerable discussion, the City Council would hear of any issues, but the current language appeared to be working well. Without objection, Mayor Roe concluded that there was no interest in changing the current ordinance related to bees and poultry, and therefore it would be left as is. In conclusion, staff was directed in the future to bring forward revisions repealing current city code riding horse language; to bring back the exception for non- domestic animals to allow use of goats for turf control; and directing staff to enter into a process to consider regulation of potbelly pigs and pygmy goats. e. Receive Maintenance Facilities Space Needs Analysis Public Works Director Marc Culver distributed as a bench handout, a copy of his presentation related to the Roseville Maintenance Facility, and as detailed in the RCA and attachments. Mr. Culver advised that representatives from the Kodet Architectural Group who performed the study were present in tonight's audience. At the request of Councilmember McGehee, Mr. Culver confirmed that there was $200,000 included in the CIP for geothermal installation at the maintenance facili- ty, but that it continued to be deferred pending a long-term solution for the build- ing. Mr. Culver confirmed that the infrastructure for the line was installed as part of the new fire station construction. At the further request of Councilmember McGehee, Mr. Culver advised that to his knowledge he was not aware of any por- tion of the maintenance facility roof leaking at this time. Mr. Culver noted that the city had a maintenance agreement for annual roof inspections, and assumed periodic roof rehabilitation at twenty years.
