If this is a student application
Field not completed.
please list grade in school
Note
There is no character limit for the fields below.
Why do you want to serve on
-My wife and I have been residents of Roseville since 2014 and
this Commission?
recently we became Roseville home-owners. I also am a business
owner with locations in Roseville. Because of this, I want to offer what I
can to the City and Community to see it succeed. Right now, I believe
the best way I can accomplish this is by serving on the Planning
Commission. -I think Roseville is facing some new challenges relating
to development and planning. If appointed to the Planning
Commission, I would be able to use my knowledge and insight to
provide input on some of these challenges and help shape the
continued development of Roseville.
What is your view of the role
I believe the Commission has a few roles: A. To advise the City
of this Commission?
Council on land-use items anddevelopments. B. To directly make
decisions related to planning to insure developments are aligned with
the City's vision. C. To update the City's plans to insure the needs of
the community are being met (through the comprehensive plan review)
What specific skills or
-I have a background in real estate and I currently co-own a property
experiences do you have that
management business with 3 properties located in Roseville. This has
would be beneficial in
given me experience with zoning, variances and other land-
serving on the advisory
use/planning related items. I am probably one of the few Roseville
commission for which you
residents who have actually read through some of the Roseville
are applying?
Zoning Code. -Last year, we partnered with Thor
Development/Construction and submitted a proposal for development
of the Highland Reservoir to Saint Paul Regional Water Services.
Ultimately SPRWS's Board of Commissioners decided not to sell the
property, but it provided me with a little experience in development.-
My educational and professional background has led me to have good
analytical/critical thinking skills, which would prove to be a valuable
resource to the Commission by being able to make decisions while
weighing city staff recommendations against potential benefits or
drawbacks.
If you identified a second
Field not completed.
choice commission, please
include skills or experiences
that would be beneficial for
serving on that commission.
Civic and Volunteer
-I am a parishioner at St. Odilia Church in Shoreview. Lately, I have
64
