Commission preference <br />Field not completed. <br />This application is for <br />New Term <br />If this is a student <br />Field not completed. <br />application please list <br />grade in school <br />Note <br />There is no character limit for the fields below. <br />Why do you want to serve <br />I am a relative newcomer to Roseville, but a long-time metro- <br />on this Commission? <br />area resident having been born and raised in St. Paul. <br />Roseville is my home of choice now and I have been very <br />grateful to establish a home in such a beautiful city. I have also <br />been pleased to recognize the dedication and good sense of <br />the local governing bodies. My particular reason for observing <br />the Public Works Commission and the City Council in action <br />has been due to increased interest in government post- <br />retirement and with a particular interest in what I see as our <br />primary challenge of the century -global warming or climate <br />change. Of course, this is a vast topic with many aspects, <br />including financial responsibility, land and water use and <br />quality, adaptation to new realities, dealing with increased <br />population, etc. I would bring a focus that moves beyond <br />creating the goals stated in the 2040 planning document and <br />into the 'how' of achieving those goals. <br />What is your view of the <br />I see the Commission as providing citizen input and advice to <br />role of this Commission? <br />the City Council on matters related to streets, water, <br />environmental quality, and transportation within the purview of <br />the City of Roseville. <br />What specific skills or <br />During the longest period of my paid employment (20+years in <br />experiences do you have <br />this field), I worked as a business project manager (titled <br />that would be beneficial <br />Business Process Consultant) dealing with gathering and <br />in serving on the advisory <br />defining requirements of business users, defining the <br />commission for which <br />processes to meet those requirements, detailing the <br />you are applying? <br />requirements, defining the test needs, (including blind ease of <br />use testing), executing final user testing, and documenting the <br />system.
