o The County will be reconstructing County Road C between Highway 88 in St. <br />Anthony and Long Lake Road in Roseville in 2019. <br />• Road will be reconstructed with two lanes in each direction. <br />• Road will be concrete pavement. <br />• 8 foot bituminous pathway will be constructed on the south side of the <br />road. <br />• Signal will be replaced at Long Lake Road and Walnut Street. <br />• Additional turn lanes will be added on Long Lake Road. <br />• Railroad crossing will be replaced and new signals and gates will be <br />constructed. <br />• Upgraded storm sewer. <br />• Minimal water and sanitary sewer replacement. <br />• Work is scheduled to begin in June. <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation updates: <br />• I-35W MnPASS project - httn://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/proiects/i35wroseville/ <br />o Construct MnPASS Express Lanes (one lane in each direction) in the middle of <br />existing I-35 W between County Road C in Roseville and Lexington Avenue <br />(County Rd 17) in Blaine. <br />o Repave I-35W and ramps between County Road C in Roseville to just north of <br />Sunset Ave (County Road 53) in Lino Lakes. <br />o Replace and repair bridges along the project area <br />o Install noise walls on the east side of I-35W just north of the County Road C <br />ramps to County Road D. <br />o Road shoulder preparation (Fall 2018): Repairing road shoulders and constructing <br />crossovers on I-35 W north of County Road C. <br />o Contract was awarded in October to Ames Construction which had the winning <br />Design/Build Proposal. Total cost is $208 million. <br />o Major road work will begin Spring 2019. <br />• Work will begin on southbound lanes in 2019 with ramp closures this <br />summer for southbound County Road C and southbound County Road D. <br />• The southbound TH 51 (Snelling Avenue) turn lane to southbound <br />Hamline will be closed starting April 1 and will be closed for the <br />remainder of the project. <br />Miscellaneous Updates: <br />• Asset Management Software <br />o Over the last few months staff has been reviewing proposals and watching demos <br />in anticipation of getting a new asset management software. <br />Campus Solar <br />o iDeal Energies started construction on the Solar PV System on January 14 for <br />City Hall and the Fire Station. The first phase (DC components) of the project <br />was completed in late January and included setting up the racking and the solar <br />panels. The second phase (AC Components) consisted of connecting the solar <br />panels to the City's electrical meter, which was completed in early March. The <br />connections have been inspected by the Department of Labor and Industry, and a <br />request has been sent to Xcel Energy to purchase the meters for the PV <br />System. The projected schedule for the new meters to be installed is early to mid - <br />April. After the new meters are installed, there will be one more inspection of the <br />entire systems functionality, and then it will be fully operational. The anticipated <br />startup for the system is in mid to late April, and staff is scheduling a time to <br />officially turn the system on prior to a Council meeting. The official date is TBD, <br />
