EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the city council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 12th day of February, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Thomas, Maschka, Cushman, and Rog, and the following were absent: Johnson. Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 8541 CITY OF ROSEVILLE SLOGAN CONTEST WHEREAS, the city of Roseville seeks to promote a positive image; and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville wishes to establish a sense of community pride; and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville encourages citizen participation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city of Roseville endorses the plan to establish an official City slogan. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city of Roseville authorizes the Roseville/Falcon Heights Chapter of the Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce to administer a Roseville slogan contest, with the final selection being made by the Roseville city Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Cushman , and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Thomas, Maschka, Cushman, and Rog, and the following voted against the same: None. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
