<br />Village Council of Roseville <br />Regulé'T L1geting,l'll.3sèay May 17th,1?49 <br /> <br />65 <br /> <br />--------------------------------------- <br /> <br />~he Villa6e Council met on the above date at 2 o'clock P.M. in regular <br />eession with th'3 following members present:¡v!uellcT',Mcmtrez,Hamr:13!'sten,Pothen <br />and Carlson.Ira Karon,attorney was also present. <br /> <br />The clürk read the minutes of H~ 3rd a:ld !~a;T 5th weetinge :md on motion <br />by Hammerst.en,seconded by Carlso:1,they were approved 2S read.Roll Call:Ayes-(S) <br />Nays-( 0). <br />Å committee representing Rose'lille ImprOFsment Association apDeared in <br />regards to the issuance of beer licenses and Municipal LiquQr stores- within 1500 <br />feet of Public Schools in Roseville.The association seemed concerned about the <br />opening of an 1I0ff sale" store at Rice anè County Road "C".It was pointed out by <br />the Council that verbal committments had already ':>een made when the letter from <br />the Association was received informing the Council of a resolution adopted by the <br />Association to oppose liquor stores within 1500 feet from Public ~chools. The members <br />of the committee were told that con~ideration will be given,in the future,tô the <br />request by the Association. <br /> <br />The que3tion of drainage on both sides of Willims st. north of Mac Carron£ <br />Boulevard came up again.Carlson moved,seconc~ed 1:>y Ea!l11J1.erften to in~truct the Village <br />Attorne~T to notify Ro;y Brown of the existing difficulties.Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(O). <br /> <br />Vernon Tock owner of a lot 75.28 x 36S.48 fAet on the West side of L2ke <br />Owassc requested a perrait to build a house on this lot,eventho a cottage was zlready <br />erected on this lot.The lot ~lat shows a 12 fOQt easement along the North side of <br />the lot for egress and ingress to the cc'ttage .!.1uel1er moved,secor.ded by pothen <br />to instruct the building in=!=>ector to issue a permit.Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Na:rs-(O). <br /> <br />The street grade of the Dellwood Plat was submitted by Carley, engineer. <br />HamInersten moved,seconded by Mueller to accept the grades as presented.Roll Call: <br />Ayes-(5),Nays-(O). <br /> <br />The question of appra~s~ng the inventory of the Vol.Fire Dept. was discussed <br />and on motion by Membrez,seconded by Mueller,Harry Carlson was appointed appraiser for <br />tµe Village of Roseville.Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br /> <br />The Sunset Memorial Cemetery having violated the zoning ordinance of the <br />Village,Mueller moved,secondeè by Hammersten to authorize Ira Karon,village attorney <br />to start action requesting them to remove graves located between County Road "C" and <br />the N.P.RR. Bast 00 Hennepin County line.Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved,seconded by Mueller to send 2 firemen to the Minnesota state <br />Fire Dept. As~ociation Convention in St.Peter on June 13,14 and 15th at Village expense~ <br />Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br /> <br />,'. Ordinance No.120 amending Ordinance No.lll regulating trailer camps. <br />Ordinance~No.121 licensing and regulating public driving tees. <br />were presented by the Clerk. Hueller moved,seconded by Carlt'on to adopt Ordinance #120 <br />Ron Call:Ayes-(5) Hays-(O). Mueller moveè,secondcd by HanL'nersten to adopt Ordinance <br />No.121.Roll Call:Ayes-Mueller,H~~~ersten,Pothen,Membrez (4),Carlson (l)did not vote. <br /> <br />Carlson moved,seconded by Pothen to adopt the following resolution.Roll Cill: <br />~res-( S) ,Nays-( 0). <br />
