Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: June 25. 2019 <br />Item Description: Eureka 2018 Year End Report <br />Item No: 5 <br />Eureka Recycling has recently produced the annual recycling report. Staff from Eureka will be on <br />hand at the meeting to review the highlights of the report and future recycling efforts. <br />The Draft 2018 Annual Report is included in the PWETC packet. The recycling contract requires <br />the report to be reviewed by this commission per the following language: <br />6.04 Annual Performance Review Meeting to Discuss Recommendations for <br />Continuous Improvement <br />Upon receipt of the Contractor's annual report, the City shall schedule an annual meeting <br />with the Contractor and the City's Public Works Environment and Transportation <br />Committee. <br />The objectives of this annual meeting will include (but not limited to): <br />• Review Contractor's annual report, including trends in recovery rate and <br />participation. <br />• Efforts the Contractor has made to expand recyclable markets. <br />• Review Contractor's performance based on feedback from residents to the <br />Committee members and/or City staff. <br />• Review Contractor's recommendations for improvement in the City's recycling <br />program, including enhanced public education and other opportunities. <br />• Review staff and Committee recommendations for improving Contractor's service. <br />• Discuss other opportunities for improvement with the remaining years under the <br />current contract. <br />• Discuss actions Contractor is taking to reduce its carbon footprint. <br />Let us know if you have specific questions you would like staff to follow up on prior to the meeting. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Discuss recycling program with Eureka staff. <br />Attachments: <br />A.
