<br />VIl_::',AJE COUNCIL OF H0SEVILLE <br />Meeting,Tuesday,',,1arch ~lst,1950_at _~J:!~ <br /> <br />..l-UO <br /> <br />The Village COilllCil met on the above date ~~th thp- following Qembers present: <br />Mueller,HarPJIler~-t:.en,~'fillmus,Carl:::;on and Membrez.lra Ke..ron,attorney and Frank Leinen <br />treasurer were also present. <br />The Clerk read the minutes of the previous meeting.Hammersten moved,seconded by <br />Mueller to accept mL~utes as read.Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(O). <br />The Village Hall was filled to capacity.Mayor Mueller continued the advisery <br />Public Hearing on the question of changing the building code to make it possible <br />to construct Gunnison prefabricated homes as proposed bJr Ashbach &. Son~. It was th~ <br />concer-sus of opinion of the people there that the building code should not be changed. <br />Petitions repre~entating approx. 125 peopl9s were pr~Renteò to the Council opposing <br />the change. Mr Ashbach suggested that he be al~owed to build 3 homes with basements <br />and if bhey did not prove satisfactory after a thorough inspection by the Council <br />and the general public tKxt he will abandon the idea and stop construction of that <br />type of homes.No member of the Council offereà to submit a change by ordinance, <br />therefore the building code remains as is. <br />The rezoning matter of Edwin Knutson of the property described in the minutes <br />of Feb.2lst for which public hearing was held March 7th t!1ld continued to March 21st <br />was again continued. Mr Knutson reassured the Council that his plans of constructing <br />a grocery store and filling station are the same as outlined before. TV/o letters were <br />read from two ppoperty owners within 500 feet expressing their wishes to withdraw <br />their n~~es from the petition. 1~eller moved, seconded by Willmus to deny the rezoning <br />from Farm District to Business of the property described in the minutes of Feb.21st. <br />Roll Call:Ayes-( Carlson,WilL~us,Hammersten,Mueller (4) Membrez did not vote (1) <br />Joseph Weinholzer presenteè a petition asking for the rezoning of the following <br />described property from Farm D,strict to Induttrial Oistrict.: <br />The North 5 acres,exclusivc of Railroad right of way,of that part of the <br />East 22~ acres of the North ~ of the mvt of Sect.10,Town 29,~ange 23,lying <br />westerly of the Easterly 363 feet thereof. Property owned by Joseph Weinhizer. <br />Hæmaersten moved,seconded by ~Æueller that petition be accepted and that Public <br />Hearing be had on j>his matter on April 4th,1950 at 2 o'clock P.M. at the Village <br />Hall.Roll call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />Mr.Milner Carley presented a petition asking for the rezoning of the following <br />described property from Residential Class A district to a Business District: <br />Exceptßthe North 12tl3 feet, the West 435.6 feet of the NWi of the NE~ <br />. of sect.4,T.29N,R.23W,Village of Roseville,subject to Lydia st. and <br />Fairview Ave. <br />Hæmaersten moved, seconded by Mueller that petition be accepted and that P~blic Hearir.g <br />be had on this matter on April 4th at 2 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall.Roll Call: <br />Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />Ernest Markham s~bmitted a letter from Western Oil ~~d Fuel Co whereby they will <br />furnish SC oil at .0855 per gallon and MC oil at.0955 per gallon F.O.B.Roseville.This <br />material is for shipment in 3500 to 5000 gallon tank trucks. The m~or appointed <br />Willmus to in~estigate this matter with the County and report at the next meeting. <br />Mrs Johnson and Mrs Sands residing on North Marion st. inquired about the grading <br />of Marion st. Willmus and the Road overseer were asked to look into the matter and re- <br />pDtt to the Council.
