The following are activities of the past year and issues the <br />5 Commission would like to take up in the next year: <br />s Activities and accomplishments: <br />7 o Organic drop site discussion and recommendations (agreement with Ramsey County <br />a approved by City Council) <br />s o Discussion of Green Step City Program — Designation as Green Team <br />10 o Sustainability components in 2040 Comprehensive Plan <br />11 o City Campus Solar Installation Review and Recommendations (approved by City Council - <br />12 systems installed on three City Campus buildings) <br />13 o Discussion of Community Solar Garden Options — Recommendation to participate/subscribe <br />14 in the Community Solar Garden project (approved by City Council — waiting for CSG to be <br />15 active) <br />16 o Discussion and recommendations on Tiered Utility Rates (PWET Commission <br />17 recommending a new residential tier for over 50,000 gallons per quarter) <br />18 o Review and recommendations on Complete Streets Policy (confirmed by City Council) <br />19 o Review and recommendations on Environmentally Friendly Purchasing Policy (adopted by <br />20 City Council) <br />21 o Received Sanitary Sewer Inflow and Infiltration Study results <br />22 o Meeting with Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District for public meeting on Total <br />23 Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) of Phosphorous into Bennet Lake <br />24 Work Plan items for the upcoming year: <br />25 o How to engage residents better on topics such as recycling, sustainability, water conservation, <br />2s etc. <br />27 o Forestry Management — Work closely with Parks and Recreation on forestry items <br />28 o Promote expansion of solar on public and private properties <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
