REDA Meeting Minutes—Monday,July 15,2019 Page 6 Willmus moved, Groff seconded, adoption of REDA Resolution No.47 entitled, "Resolution Expressing Support For Redevelopment Tax Increment Financing Assistance Requested In Connection With A Proposed Multifamily Housing Development On All Or A Portion Of Parcel ID Nos. 042923430005, 0429234300013, And 042923430014 At County Road C," and also direct staff to move forward with the public improvement project area. EDA Discussion Member Willmus noted when looking to do redevelopment, accommodating housing, and some additional retail spaces, he thought this was the ideal spot for it. Certainly, he appreciated the level of detail staff has gone to in order to put things forward and having a packet for the EDA. He indicated this is preliminary approval and there are a number of steps in the process yet so the EDA will see how this works its way through. Member Groff echoed those statements and thought the need for affordable housing in Roseville was important. Member Laliberte thought this was exactly the kind of project the EDA was envisioning when talking about the CM District and bringing affordable housing into the area. She thought it was very fitting for the work that has already been put into place. Member Etten indicated he would be supportive of this and it would be a big improvement when done. He thought a key thing to think about is the traffic and something the city needs to be staying after as this moves forward because the intersection there is already one of the toughest intersections in the City of Roseville. President Roe explained he was supportive, indicating both the project and the mix of uses as well as the amenity on the ditch site both make sense. He thought this has more potential to be successful and done in a way that works. He looked forward to the opportunity to move forward. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 Motion carried. b.
