<br />. The Village ?ouncil met on the above date as ~continuation of July 18th meeting
<br />wlth the followlng members present:Mueller,Membrez,H~~ersten,Carlson,Wil~aus.
<br />Frank Leinen,treasurer IDld Ira Karon,Attorney were also present.
<br />Claude Allen,attorney for Tom Harkins presented a petition for the rezoning of the
<br />following descreiþed property from Farm Residence District to Business Ðistrict:
<br />Northwest * of the Northwest ì of secte15,Town 29,
<br />Range 23,Subject to roads.
<br />Carlson moved,seconded by Willmus to accept petition and that Public Hearing be
<br />had on August 8th,1950 at 2 o'clock P.M. in the Village Hall,Hamline and Co.Rd.B.
<br />Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0).
<br />John Bouthilet,attorney for the Rosevista Corp. presented a petition to re~one the
<br />following described property from Residence District "A" to Residence District "C":
<br />That part of the Northerly 30 feet of the Southerly 291 feet of the
<br />SW~ of the SEi of Sect.15,Town 29,Range 23,lJQng East of the land
<br />conveyed to Ramsey County by deed, recorded on Page 453,Book 1279 of Deeds.
<br />Ha~ersten moved, seconded by Mueller that petition be accepted and that Public Hearing
<br />be had on Tuesday,August 15th at 2 o'clock P.M. Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0).
<br />The Public hearing on the vacation of lone Street and Dellwood Ave was declared
<br />open. Mr Bouthilet attorney stated that the ~acation of the 2 streets was necessary
<br />to develop a apartment house project. There being no one present to oppose the vacation
<br />of the 2 streets Hammersten moved, seconded by Carlson that the following resolution be
<br />adopted:
<br />Whereas,the majority of the owners of property abutting on that part of lone st.
<br />a..'1d that part of Dellwood Ave,lying and being in the following described property:
<br />"That part of Block 3 "Gottfried",according to the original plat thereof
<br />"on file and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds in ;1nd for
<br />Ramsey County, Minnesota, and that part of lone St. and Dellwood Ave. as
<br />dedicated in the said plat of "Gottfried" together with that part of the
<br />S.W. ~ of the S.E.! of Section 15, Township 29, Range 23, lying within the
<br />following described bounds: Beginning é't the intersection of the South
<br />line of Crawford st. (as dedicated in the plat of "Krannak" on file and of
<br />record in the office of the Register of Deeds of Ramsey County, Minn.),
<br />extended west, with the West line of Fernwood Ave. as opened; thence Viest
<br />along South line of Crawford St. extended 472.66 feet to the Easterly line
<br />of the land conveyed to the County of Ramsey by deed recoraed in p¡ge 453,
<br />Book 1279 of Deeds, thence Northwesterly ;:>long said Easterly line of land
<br />conveyed to Ramsey County 609.98 feet to a point; thence Northeasterly in
<br />a straight line 60 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 11, Block 3, in
<br />said plat of "Gottfried"; thence East along the North line of Lots 11 to 18
<br />inclusive, in said Bluck 3, 715.38 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 18
<br />in said Block 3 "Gottfried"; thence South 562.46 feet to place of beginning,

<br />in the Village of Roseville, Mïnnesota, have requested the Village Council in a
<br />Petition dpted July 5th, 1950, to vacate such streets according to law,
<br />AND WHEREAS, a public hearing WaS held on July 25th, 1950, before the Village
<br />Council in the Village Hall on such Petition after due published and posted notice
<br />had been given by the Clerk on July 5th,1950 and all persons interested were given
<br />an opportunity to be heard.
<br />AND ViHEREAS, it appeared that it will be for the best interest of the Village
<br />to approve such Petition.
<br />NOW, WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That such Petition is hereby ßranted, apd (0)

<br />Mr.Schwartz inquired about drainage effectiRg his property.He was informed that action
<br />had been started )fy Mr.Karon Village Attorney against Mr. Brown who appearently plugged
<br />a culvert.
