The Commission reviewed the discussion with the City Council on third party vendors at the <br />Cedarholm Community Building. Chair Baggenstoss relayed that he would be willing to find <br />out additional information on local food service operators in the area. <br />Commissioner O’Brien commented that better marketing may help non-golfers be aware of <br />the grill option at Cedarholm Community Building. Marketing ideas could include updating <br />the city website, a newsletter article or marketing outside of Cedarholm. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arneson suggested the addition of a small sandwich board out front with <br />potential wording being “Cedarholm Grill Now Open” and including the hours. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed options for marketing, hours for the grill and potential conflicts <br />with rentals. <br /> <br />Commissioners Baggenstoss, Hoag, Brown and Stoner (surveys) agreed to be part of a sub- <br />committee to look at potential options for third party vendors at the Cedarholm Community <br />Building. <br /> <br />Staff suggested that the September agenda include the deer reduction effort, accelerated <br />Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) programand theCedarholm Community Building food service. <br />The Commission agreed. <br /> <br />7) STAFF REPORT <br />a) OTHER NEW OR RELEVANT COMMUNICATION ITEMS <br /> Staff showed an example of the green EAB tree wraps that are on some boulevard <br />and park ash trees. They are anticipating <br />representatives from the Parks and Recreation Commission to be present to discuss <br />the accelerated EAB program. Vice-Chair Hoag volunteered to present at the <br />meeting. <br /> The next Natural Resource Restoration Event is at Materion Park on August 17 from <br />10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. <br /> The next Discover Your Park Event is at Unity Park on August 7 from 6:30 p.m. – <br />8:00 p.m. <br /> The final Discover Your Park Event is at Lexington Park on August 14 from 6:30 <br />p.m. – 8 p.m. <br />4 <br /> <br />
