<br />Village Council of RosGville <br />Meeting, Tuesday,Sept.19tÈ_ _~950 _~~_ 2 PM <br /> <br />i~7 <br />I <br /> <br />The Village Council met 011 the above date with the following members present:Mueller <br />Hawaersten,Carlson,Willmus,Membrez.Frank Leinen,Treas. and George Powell,Attorney were <br />also present. <br />The Clerk read the minutes of the previou::ò meeting and on motion by Hammersten,seconded by <br />Willmus,they were approved as read. Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0) <br />Mr.Nelson,Lake Johanna Fire Chief submitted a resolution by the Board of Directors of the <br />Lake Johanna Fire Dept. asking for the removal of Ken Fabyanske,Chief of the Roseville <br />Fire nept. The resolution stated that Fabyanske is unfair in criticizing the other chiefs <br />every opportunity he has and unles he was removed, the Lake Johanna Fire Dept. will curtail <br />the mutual help service to Roseville Village. The Council promised to look into the matter. <br />Mr.Moserman appeared to inquire about getting a permit to operate a miniature golf course <br />in Roseville on Tom Harkins property, Snelling and County Road B. He was informed to come <br />back to the next meeting for a decision on the matter. <br />Mr.Kerroll presented more evidence in regard to a road he claims the Town of Rose took <br />over many years ago.OvQng to the fact that Mr.Karon,Village Attorney was absent,Mr.kQrroll <br />was told that a decision could not be made until legal advice was obtained. <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Carlson to establish grade on Lovell,Cope and Bass Road in <br />Tschida's Plat anxd instruct MilKller Carley, to do the work.Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />Mr.Stundnek inquired about culverts for 1059-1065-1051 Burke st. He was informed that <br />Joe Koalska will be instructed to look into the matter. <br />Rarr@ersten moved,seconded by Carlson to change the n~e CONl10R Ave to OAK CREST Ave in <br />Connor's plat.Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />Carlson moved, seconded by lAueller to change the name Long Lake Road to North Fulham st. <br />from Highway #36 going Nort.h. Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />Harr@ersten moved,seconded by Carlson to transfer licenses from John Heinel to Louis C. <br />Schiavino for business operated at 1927 No.Rice st. Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Carlson to accept the following plats: <br />OTTO'S ACRES, SHOREWOOD AND PORTE PARK. Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />The Clerk was instructed to \vrite letters to Pan Waller,910 W.Highway #36 and E.N.Lutton, <br />Rice st. to request them to appear at the Village Council meeting at the earliest time <br />in regards to special permits issued to them to reside in garages. <br />H~wnersten moved, seconded by Carlson to instruct Milner Carley to check grade of FernwQod <br />from Larpenteur Ave North and notify St.Paul Water Dept. Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(O). <br />Hammersten moved,seconded by Mueller to instruct Milner Carley to prepare specifications <br />anè advertise for bids for a gravel pit.Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />The following sggns were orèered to be installed: <br />street dgn on Capital View anè Western Ave <br />!!:;eaè Sign on Long Lake Road anè Highway 1136. <br />:/r.George Seaburg 2240 st stephen inquired about LonG Lake Road between County Road "B" <br />and Highway#36. According to the nap,it appears that it has been vacated.
