developing a 2020 drainage improvement project to alleviate some of these flooding concerns. <br />Staff has already identified several projects for 2020. Some of the projects include: <br />Pavement Management Storm Water Upgrades: As part of the pavement <br />management project staff is looking at replacing or adding infrastructure to areas <br />that have had flooding issues. <br />Staff will work with Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District to install an <br />underground storm water system at St Rose of Lima This project will help <br />reduce flooding in the neighborhood and provide some water quality treatment. <br />Other Improvements <br />35W MnPASS Project (MNDOT): Construct MnPASS Express Lanes (one lane in each <br />direction) in the middle of existing I-35W between County Road C in Roseville and Lexington <br />Avenue (County Rd 17) in Blaine. Repave I-35W and ramps between County Road C in <br />Roseville to just north of Sunset Ave (County Road 53) in Lino Lakes. Replace and repair <br />bridges along the project area. Install noise walls on the east side of I-35 W just north of the <br />County Road C ramps to County Road D. Road shoulder preparation (fall 2018): Repairing road <br />shoulders and constructing crossovers on I-35 W north of County Road C. Contract will be <br />awarded in October to Ames Construction which had the winning Design/Build Proposal. Total <br />cost is $208 million. Major road work will begin Spring 2019. <br />County Road C Reconstruction Project (Ramsey County): The County will complete <br />reconstructing County Road C between Highway 88 in St Anthony and Long Lake in Roseville <br />in 2020. Work remaining includes installing the new pathways and installing turn lanes. <br />Lexington Avenue Resurfacing (Ramsey County): Ramsey County will complete a mill and <br />overlay on Lexington Avenue between TH 36 and County Road C2. As part of the project the <br />City will replace the pedestrian flasher near Oakcrest. <br />Signal Replacements: MnDot will replace the signal lights and improve ADA curb ramps at <br />Snelling and County Road C2 and Snelling and Roselawn. The City has some cost participation <br />for these improvements. <br />The overall cost of the Public Works Work Plan is approximately $5-6 million dollars. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Comment on the 2020 work plan. <br />Attachments: <br />A.
