Persistence of Strategies <br />Persistence is defined as the effectiveness and longevity of reduction strategies <br />after the initial implementation period. Savings from one-time strategies that are <br />based on installed technology (e.g. Stretch Energy Code and Appliance, Equipment, <br />and Fixture Efficiency) are typically assumed to persist throughout the planning <br />horizon, reflecting the lifetime of the energy -saving building component or device. <br />Savings from strategies that rely on the continued engagement of the building <br />operator or occupants (e.g. Energy -Efficient Operations and Behavior Change) are <br />assumed to be contingent on continued participation.
