ATTACHMENT C <br />675 occupant occupies or controls in a clean and sanitary condition. <br />676 2. Grading and drainage.All premises shall be graded and maintained to prevent the <br />677 erosion of soil and to prevent the accumulation of stagnant water thereon, or within any <br />678 structure located thereon. <br />679 Exception: Approved retention areas and reservoirs. <br />680 3. Sidewalks and driveways. All sidewalks, walkways, stairs, driveways, parking spaces <br />681 and similar areas shall be kept in a proper state of repair, and maintained free from <br />682 hazardous conditions. <br />683 4.Weeds.All premises and exterior property shall be maintained free from weeds or plant <br />684 growth in excess of 8”. All noxious weeds, as listed by the Minnesota Department of <br />685 Agriculture, shall be prohibited. Weeds shall be defined as all grasses, annual plants and <br />686 vegetation, other than trees or shrubs provided; however, this term shall not include <br />687 cultivated flowers andgardens. <br />688 Upon failure of the owner or agent having charge of a property to cut and destroy weeds <br />689 after service of a notice violation, they shall be subject to prosecution in accordance with <br />690 Section 906.03.F.3. and as prescribed by the authority having jurisdiction. Upon failure to <br />691 comply with the notice of violation, any duly authorized employee of the jurisdiction or <br />692 contractor hired by the jurisdiction shall be authorized to enter upon the property in <br />693 violation and cut and destroy the weeds growing thereon, and the costs of such removal <br />694 shall be paidby the owner or agent responsible for the property. <br />695 5. Rodent harborage. All structures and exterior property shall be kept free from rodent <br />696 harborage and infestation. Where rodents are found, they shall be promptly exterminated <br />697 eliminated by approved processes which will not be injurious to human health. After <br />698 exterminationpest elimination, proper precautions shall be taken to eliminate rodent <br />699 harborage and prevent re-infestation. <br />700 6. Exhaust vents. Pipes, ducts, conductors, fans or blowers shall not discharge gases, <br />701 steam, vapor, hot air, grease, smoke, odors or other gaseous or particulate wastes directly <br />702 upon abutting or adjacent public or private property or that of anothertenant. <br />703 7. Accessory structures.All accessory structures, including detached garages, fences <br />704 and walls, shall be maintained structurally sound and in good repair. <br />705 8.Motorvehicles.Except as provided for in other regulations, no inoperative or <br />706 unlicensed motor vehicle shall be parked, kept or stored on any premises, and no vehicle <br />707 shall at any time be in a state of major disassembly, disrepair, or in the process of being <br />708 stripped or dismantled. Painting of vehicles is prohibited unless conducted inside an <br />709 approved spray booth. <br />710 Exception: A vehicle of any type is permitted to undergo major overhaul, <br />711 including body work, provided that such work is performed inside a structure or <br />712 similarly enclosed area designed and approved for such purposes. <br />713 9. Defacement of property. No person shall willfully or wantonly damage, mutilate or <br />714 deface any exterior surface of any structure or building on any private or public property <br />715 by placing thereon any marking, carving or graffiti. It shall be the responsibility of the <br />716 owner to restore said surface to an approved stateof maintenance and repair. <br />717 C. SWIMMING POOLS, SPAS AND HOT TUBS <br />718 1. Swimming pools. In addition to and including the requirements of Chapters 905 and 1011, <br />719 Swimming pools shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, and in good repair. <br />720 2. Enclosures.
