ATTACHMENT C <br />997 interior of every structure, shall be free from any accumulation of rubbish or garbage. <br />998 2. Disposal of rubbish. Every occupant of a structure shall dispose of all rubbish in a <br />999 clean and sanitary manner by placing such rubbish in approvedcontainers. <br />1000 a. Rubbish storage facilities. The owner of every occupied premises shall supply <br />1001 approved covered containers for rubbish, and the owner of the premises shall be <br />1002 responsible for the removal ofrubbish. <br />1003 b. Refrigerators. Refrigerators and similar equipment not in operation shall <br />1004 not be discarded, abandoned or stored on premises without first removing <br />1005 thedoors. <br />1006 3. Disposal of garbage. Every occupant of a structure shall dispose of garbage in a clean <br />1007 and sanitary manner by placing such garbage in an approved garbage disposal facility or <br />1008 approved garbage containers. <br />1009 a. Garbage facilities.The owner of every dwelling shall supply one of the <br />1010 following: an approved mechanical food waste grinder in each dwelling <br />1011 unit; an approved incinerator unit in the structure available to the occupants <br />1012 in each dwelling unit; oran approved leakproof, covered, outside garbage <br />1013 container. <br />1014 b.Containers. The operator of every establishment producing garbage shall provide, <br />1015 and at all times cause to be utilized, approved leakproof containers provided with <br />1016 close-fitting covers for the storage of such materials until removed from the <br />1017 premises fordisposal. <br />1018 J. Extermination Pest Elimination <br />1019 1. Infestation. All structures shall be kept free from insect and rodent infestation. All <br />1020 structures in which insects or rodents are found shall be promptly exterminated <br />1021 eliminated by approved processes that will not be injurious to human health. After <br />1022 exterminationpest elimination, proper precautions shall be taken to prevent re- <br />1023 infestation. <br />1024 a.Owner. The owner of any structure shall be responsible for extermination <br />1025 pest elimination within the structure prior to renting or leasing the structure. <br />1026 b.Single occupant. The occupant of a one-family dwelling or of a single-tenant nonresidential <br />1027 structure shall be responsible for pest elimination on the premises. <br />1028 c. Multiple occupancy. The owner of a structure containing two or more dwelling <br />1029 units, a multiple occupancy, a rooming house or a nonresidential structure shall <br />1030 be responsible for exterminationpest elimination in the public or shared areas of <br />1031 the structure and exterior property. If infestation is caused by failure of an <br />1032 occupant to prevent such infestation in the area occupied, the occupant shall be <br />1033 responsible for extermination pest elimination. <br />1034 d.Occupant.The occupant of any structure shall be responsible for the continued <br />1035 rodent and pest-free condition of the structure. <br />1036 Exception:Where the infestations are caused by defects in the structure, <br />1037 the owner shall be responsible for pest elimination. <br />1038 906.06: LIGHT, VENTILATION AND OCCUPANCY LIMITATIONS: <br />1039 A. General <br />1040 1. Scope.
