From:Lonnie Brokke
To:*RVParksCommission
Subject:Update
Date:Tuesday, April 7, 2020 9:20:56 PM
Parks and Recreation Commission,
I hope this note finds everyone healthy and safe. I was just thinking about how
much I miss the meeting tonight and how lucky Roseville is to have caring
residents like you willing to be involved in our community.
I have spoken or connected with many of you in the last couple of weeks but not
all so I thought I would provide you all with a quick update. At this time, the
following is a quick summary of what is happening with Roseville Parks and
Recreation:
All recreation programs have been canceled until at least Sunday, May 3.
All city and recreational facilities including the Roseville Skating Center,
Harriet Alexander Nature Center, Cedarholm Community Building, Park
Buildings and Picnic Shelters are closed until at least Sunday, May 3.
Park trails and open spaces remain open for use while exercising social
distancing. Public restrooms, playgrounds and other areas at risk for
disease transmission within the parks are closed.
Cedarholm Golf Course is currently closed, while we await further
operational alternatives.
Following additional guidance, facilities, events and activities may be closed,
canceled or adjusted beyond May 3. We will update the status of facilities and
programs during this period as new information becomes available.
Program supervisors are contacting participants directly regarding schedule
adjustments or refunds once the duration of the closure is understood.
to. We encourage you to check cityofroseville.com/parks for updates.
Throughout the closure, we will be providing some activity ideas via our Facebook
page as part of our “At Home with Roseville Parks and Recreation” campaign.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to let me know or give
me a call anytime.
Take care,
Lonnie
Lonnie Brokke CPRP
Director of Parks and Recreation
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville MN 55113
651-792-7101 (direct) * 651-792-7006 (general)
www.cityofroseville.com/parks
