<br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE <br />Meeting Tue5d~ November 20 1951 at 2.00 P.M. <br /> <br />183 <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present, <br />Carlson,Willaus,Membrez,Mueller,ánd Hammersten. Ira Karon Village Attorney was also <br />present. <br /> <br />The Clerk read the minutes of the last regular meeting, Nov. 6th and Special <br />meeting of Nov. 12 and on motion by Mueller, seconded by Carlson they were approved <br />as read. Roll Call Ayes-(5) Nayes -(0). <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />Jos. Koalska Road overseer was present and inquired if any elected official or <br />private citizen could take sand or culverts for their own use 'which belonged to the <br />Village. The Village Attorney said they could not. <br /> <br />Membrez reported that he had contacted the County Surveyor's Dept. about tþe water <br />drainage problem in the High School area, and that they would go along with the <br />Village and pay their just share. <br /> <br />Membrez reported that he had received a report from a Heating man who had looked <br />over the boiler on the Geo.Reiling property. The Stoker is a Link Belt which is a <br />good one,,nd the boiler is in good shape. The båilding has a 12" concrete floor,few <br />cracks in the walls.The front could be used for a Fire Station and the back part <br />could be utilized. The building has good possibilitiee and would bear looking into. <br />The doors were a little low and some alterations would have to be made. <br />Ira Karon said if we had surplus space in the building that we could legally rent <br />it out. <br /> <br />Mueller moved ,seconded by Willmus that the Committee on the Fire Station be <br />authorized to offer up to $50,000 to George Reiling for his property. Roll Call- <br />Ayes-(5) Nayes -(0). <br /> <br />Discussion came up on the Garcelon Addition matter and it was the opinion of the <br />Council to lay the matter over until we heard from them again. <br /> <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Carlson that the application for a Transfer of <br />licenses from Peter Engler T.H.8 and County Road D to Ringold and Hill (to be known <br />as Don & Dick's Place) be approved. Roll Call Ayes-(5) N~es *(0). <br /> <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Carlson that the following resolution be adopted,Roll <br />Call Ayes-(5) Nayes -(0). <br />RESOLVED that the Annual Village Election for the Village of Rosevillc be <br />held on Tuesday,December 4 1951 at the Village Hall,Hamline and County Road "Bn and <br />the polls for said election be between the hours of 9 A.Y. and 8 P.M. that the follow <br />ing offices are to be tilled at said election: , <br />One Mayor,One Trustee,One Treasurer,One Justice of the Peace,One Constabl~. Resolved <br />further that a copy of this resolution be posted at the following places within said <br />Village by tpe Clerk at least 10 days prior to said election. Hamline &: County Road B <br />Larpenteur and Victoria, So. McCarron Blvd. and Woodruff Ave. <br /> <br />Wi <br /> <br />The following names were suggested to serve as Judges,Clerk and Constable for the <br />above Village Election. <br />George Hembrez,Edw.Willmus,Ted Schultz, Judges <br />B.H.Hammersten,Clerk <br />Geo Guligowski,Constable. <br />Mueller moved, seconded by Hammersten that these names be approved.Roll Call Ayes-(5) <br />Nayas -(0). <br /> <br />Hamm.ersten moved, seconded by Carlson that we accept Shryer Ave. east of Dale st. on <br />the McCarron property,on recoomendation of Road Overseer.
