4.25 Multi -unit dwelling (MUD) recycling stations <br />The location of MUD recycling containers will be designated by the City <br />with agreement of the recycling Contractor and the MUD building owner. <br />MUD recycling stations will likely be a cluster of recycling carts and/or <br />recycling dumpsters. <br />4.26 Non targeted materials <br />Non -recyclable materials that are not included in the City's recycling <br />program. Examples of non -targeted items include, but are not limited to: <br />pumps on plastic bottles, ceramic materials, heavily coated paper packaging, <br />etc. <br />4.27 Official Board Markets (OBM) <br />Industry publication containing prices for secondary fiber or recovered paper <br />in the form of the OBM "Yellow Sheet." <br />4.28 Organics <br />Residential organic materials derived from plant and animal matter including <br />food waste and non -recyclable paper that is collected for composting. <br />4.29 Paper <br />Paper includes the following: newspapers including inserts (ONP); <br />household office paper and mail; boxboard; carrier stock cardboard; old <br />corrugated cardboard (OCC) including boxes for delivery and take out <br />pizzas; phone books; kraft bags; and magazines/catalogs (OMG). <br />4.30 Participation Rate <br />The number of single unit dwellings (SUDS) that set out recyclable <br />material at least once during a defined period of time (specific time) as a <br />percentage of the number of eligible SUDS in the City. <br />4.31 Plastic containers <br />Rigid plastic containers; lids; and toy and electronic packaging — excluding <br />black plastic, with a resin identification code of: #1 (PET, PETE); #2 <br />(HDPE); #3 (PVC); #4 (LDPE); #5 (PP); #6 (PS) excluding Styrofoam; or <br />#7 (other). <br />4.32 PET <br />Plastic bottles made from polyethylene terephthalate (e.g. soft drink, water <br />and other bottles). <br />4.33 Process residuals <br />The material that cannot be economically recycled due to material <br />characteristics such as size, shape, color, cross -material contamination, etc. <br />and must be disposed as mixed municipal solid waste.
