<br />VnLAGZ COUNCIL OF ROSEVILTÆ <br />Meeting, Tuesday "'arch ¡~ 1952 2 P.M. <br /> <br />196 <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members pr~sent, <br />Carlson, Willmus,Membrez,Connor and Haramersten. Ira Karen Village Attorney was dso <br />present. <br /> <br />The Clerk read the minutes of the last regular meeting of Feb.19th and the special <br />meeting of Tuesday Eve. Feb.26th and on motion :"'~t Carl~on, seconderi b;y Hembrez they <br />were approved as read. Roll Call Ayes-(5) Nayes -(0). <br /> <br />Membrez moved, ~econded by CarlfJon that the following resolution b~ adopted. <br /> <br />RESOLVED, that hereafter the Village Hall of the <br />Village of Roreville is designated as the building located <br />at the Southwest corn!!r of Lexington Ave. and County Road "c" <br />also known as 2701 North Lexington. ~md that all business of <br />the Village be conductl'!d therin. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Ryan Ave.e¡¡.st of Fern'VlOod was up for discussion and Ira Karon said the perforra.ance <br />bond lacked a copy of the contract between the contractors concerned,¡¡nd he would like <br />to check on it and report ¡¡t the next meeting. <br /> <br />The time for issuing licenses to the various businesË people in the Village was <br />discussed,¡¡nd the council members would like to think the matter over further before <br />making a decision on any changes to be made. <br /> <br />Mr.l.Vadnais of the Electro watchman company asked if any thing had been decided on <br />their propos;a1 for alarm system at th~ Liquor stores. He was told we would look over <br />our insurance program first, before deciding on his proposal ~f a 30% discount if we <br />took out the insurance '\'/i.th him ¡[tel' installing tht') alarm system. <br /> <br />Mayor ConnOr reported that he and Edw. Willmus had looked over the drain~e probl~~ <br />in MayIlo"rer Park ¡md some work had been done to relieve the Aituation.He asked what j <br />had been done about the deed handed to the Council by the KelJer Corp. ¡¡nd explanation <br />of the matter WQS made. Membrez moved, seconded by Carlson that Lot 18 Mayflower Pirk <br />given by the Kel1ers n0t be accepted due to the restrictions incorporated in the deed. <br />Roll Call Ayes-C C~.rlson, Willrnus,Membrez,Connor) Nayes(Hammersten) <br /> <br />Mayor Connor reported on the meeting with Mr. Swan of the County Auditors office <br />about procedure necessary to start the drainage line. Various opinions were given !"In the <br />matter. <br /> <br />Yr. Wm.Hite of the Bite Agency was present and went over our insurince program with <br />the Council members. <br /> <br />Mr. Oliver of 18ho No Ha.mline WQS present ¡¡¡nd asked what could be done about getting· <br />a road through on Dellwood from Roselawn to Garden. He was told to contact the neighbors <br />Qnd secure the necessary easements. <br /> <br />Mayor Connor reported that two of the trailers on the ~ngler property had made <br />arrangements to move to other locations. <br /> <br />A communication from Wa. Reiling was read and the clerk instructed to write him a <br />letter telling him how the grading of Roma could be handlerl. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Carlson that we purchlil.se a. new map for the Fire Dept. <br />Roll C.ill Ayes-(5) Nayes -(0). <br />
