Attachment B <br />411 West First Street <br />City of Duluth <br />Duluth, Minnesota 55802 <br />Legislation Text <br />File #:20-0553R,Version:1 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 19-0793, ADOPTING LICENSE, PERMIT, FINE, <br />PENALTY AND OTHER CHARGES FOR 2020, TO ADD FINES FOR VIOLATION OF SECTION 34- <br />45 REQUIRING FACE COVERINGS INDOORS SPACES OF PUBLIC ACCOMMODATION. <br />By COUNCILORS FORSMAN, TOMANEK, KENNEDY, AND SIPRESS: <br />WHEREAS, the Duluth City Council approved ordinance 20-004 that amends Duluth City <br />Code Chapter 34 by adding Section 34-45 requiring face coverings indoors spaces of public <br />accommodation; <br />WHEREAS, Duluth City Code Section 34-45.4(b) provides in part that violations of Section 34- <br />45 are punishable by fines not to exceed those set in accordance with Section 31-8 of this Code for <br />the first, second, and third offenses; <br />THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVED,thatResolution19-0793adoptinglicense,permit,fine, <br />penalty and other charges for 2020, is hereby amended by addingExhibit A attached hereto; <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to set administrative fines for <br />violations of the Duluth City Code Section 34-45 (face covering required in places of public <br />accommodation). <br />Police <br />Cloth Face Covering in Spaces of Public Accommodation (Sec. 34-45) - First Offense$100.00 <br />Cloth Face Covering in Spaces of Public Accommodation (Sec. 34-45) - Second Offense$250.00 <br />Cloth Face Covering in Spaces of Public Accommodation (Sec. 34-45) - Third Offense$1,000.00 <br />Cloth Face Covering in Spaces of Public Accommodation (Sec. 34-45) - Subsequent Offense$1,000.00 <br />City of DuluthPage 1 of 1Printed on 7/7/2020 <br />powered by Legistar™ <br /> <br />
