Sustainability Update <br />• Partners in Energy <br />o Staff met with Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) to discuss recruitment <br />of the Energy Action Team. Staff proposed a breakdown of: <br />• 2 — 3 residents <br />• 2 members from City Boards and Commissions <br />• 2 members from the business community <br />• 4-5 members from the community sector, including: Schools; community - <br />based organizations; faith -based organizations; youth and seniors; refugee <br />group; and Chamber of Commerce <br />• 1 Xcel Energy <br />• 1 City staff <br />o Since then, staff created a webpage (www.cityofroseville.com/Partners-in- <br />Energy), and also worked with CEE to create an application that people interested <br />in being on the Energy Action Team are encouraged to fill out and submit for <br />consideration. The application process will close on October 30, 2020 at 5:OOpm. <br />Miscellaneous: <br />• The rescheduled City Clean Up Event was held on Saturday, October 17u'. Turn out was <br />very good. More statistics on the event will be presented neat month. <br />City Council Update: <br />• Approved Professional Service Contract with WSB for design services for the Twin <br />Lakes Trail over RCD 4 storm sewer. <br />• Approved Public Works Ordinance updates that were presented to the commission in <br />August. <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Street and Storm <br />o Started Street sweeping October 19, 2020. <br />• Half of leaves are down on City boulevard trees. <br />o Ongoing prepping of plow equipment for winter operations. Check brine making <br />system. Plows, wings on, calibrating salt sanders. Plow stakes out at problem <br />corners. <br />o Ongoing Streetscape maintenance. Irrigation systems blown out. <br />o Ongoing tree response to dead, broken limbs down from wind event. <br />o Completed final mow. Mowers winterized and in storage. <br />o Street pavement repairs and concrete sidewalk panels completed. <br />o Ongoing final sump cleaning before freeze up. <br />o Ongoing Compost site maintenance. Open for fall leaves. <br />o Finished 2021 PMP Storm Sewer inspections. <br />Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Continued repairing water meters and MIUs. <br />o Collected water samples for bacteriological and Disinfection By-product testing. <br />o Continued working with city engineers and consulting engineers and contractors <br />on the Galtier and Long Lake lift stations and the Booster Phase 3 Projects. <br />o Continued the 2020 hydrant flushing program. <br />o Completed inspecting and flushing private hydrants. <br />o Continued the 2020 sewer inspection / cleaning programs <br />o Continued working with our SCADA integrator (AE2S) on S.CADA upgrades for <br />2020. <br />
