<br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE <br />Informal Meeting Tuesday M~ 6 1952 at 1.00 P.M. <br /> <br />An Informal meeting was called to order by Mayor Connor at 1.10 P.M. with the <br />following members present. car1son,Wi1lmut'!, Membrez,Connor and Hammereten. <br /> <br />208 <br /> <br />Mr. Ealy Briggs a Consulting Engineer was invited to meet with the Council by Mayor <br />Connor to discuss with UB some of the problems confronting the Village. <br /> <br />Mr. Briggs stated that the present sewer system in Lauderdale could take care of <br />the immediate needs of the area around Fulham. and Rose1a1m to the West consisting of <br />about 360 feet by 1500 by installing another lift pump. <br /> <br />The proposed new Highway- along Walnut st. will be of two lanes with an area in <br />between at least six feet where a 15 or 18 inch pipe could be laid rmming to Como Ave. <br />and connect to the Minneapolis system. <br /> <br />Mr. Briggs showeå a plan of the proposed new Highway along with a profile.lle said <br />a p\.Ul1p could be put in the lake on the Golf course to drain the surplus water they get <br />from the Village of Lauderdale by way of Stumner St and Fulham along the west side of the <br />u.of M. Golf Course <br /> <br />Lauderdale has a 75,000 gal storage tank far in excess of what they need to supply <br />the needs of the present residents,only useing the top five feet of the tank,reserving <br />50,000 gals for Fire fighting pU1'}>oses. The well can pump 750 gals per minute,now it is <br />only pumping 400 gals per minute. An eight inch line coming out of the pump runs along <br />Rosel~1m to Eustis hooks onto a 20 iDcl) line from st. Paul up at Fulham and Larpenteur. <br /> <br />The sixty foot streets have a water main ten feet from the sewer line. Ten service <br />connections are 500.00. Each O1VI1er would pay 50.00 A copper pipe is installed and a valve <br />box is put in nine feet from the property line. <br /> <br />Two lilt stations in Lauderdale are installed to make a 40 foot lift up to the <br />peak of the system and a gravity feed line from there to the Minneapolis syst.em. <br /> <br />There is 19,000 feet of water main and the cost of the system was$126,000 <br />
