Release: Parks and Recreation Operational Update <br />With the release of new Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Guidance COVID mitigation <br />guidance, the forthcoming expiration of portions of Executive Order 20-103 and a reduction in <br />local and statewide case count, the following Parks and Recreation operational changes are <br />anticipated in the coming days. <br />Many recreational programs will resume beginning January 4. Other programs that <br />require competition are anticipated to resume on January 14. In compliance with <br />MDH guidance, masks will be required for all indoor activities unless specifically <br />exempted. Click here to view the status of each program. Registration for many <br />Winter/Spring programs begins on Tuesday, January 4. <br />The Roseville Skating Center Ice Arena will reopen for activities that comply with <br />MDH COVID-19 Guidance for Youth and Adult Athletics beginning January 4. The <br />walking track will be available beginning January 4 with additional COVID-19 <br />mitigation measures in place. <br />Facility rentals and social gatherings remain paused at this time. <br />In addition to the above options, many great independent activities are currently being offered. <br />The OVAL is open for socially distant public skating (special rules apply, must pre- <br />purchase tickets). <br />Neighborhood ice rinks are open. Warming rooms are currently unavailable but <br />outdoor seating and user operated lighting is available. <br />More than 60 miles of trailsthat are maintained year-round for walking, running or <br />riding. <br />Free, groomed Cross country ski trails at Acorn Park and Cedarholm Golf course. <br />Cross country ski and snowshoe rentals are available by appointment. <br />32 different parksthroughout the city, all offering unique environments and play <br />experiences. <br />Virtual programming including “virtual adult trips,” a virtual holiday craft fairand <br />more. <br />The City of Roseville is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will continue to <br />update programs and services as needed. <br />For Parks and Recreation facility or programming information, please contact Roseville Parks <br />and Recreation (651) 792-7006 or recreation@cityofroseville.com. <br />
